Q&A WITH JONATHAN
What is something no one would believe is true about you?
I’m an introvert and am drained by lots of contact with people.
What organization or company Inspires you?
I have always been inspired by large businesses that can move the needle in their market. Today, I am most inspired by Patagonia, who has been a leader in evaluating not only what their offering to the market will be, but also how it is delivered and how that deliverable process is affecting the greater good of the planet.
What are you a raving fan of?
Super Human endeavors that people embark upon to test their limits.
What are you doing when you feel most like you?
Running and exploring.
In an alternate life, what would you want to give a try?
What are you passionate about related to the work you do and serving others?
Developing people and seeing them move towards a common goal.
What is the best part of your story so far?
My wife and kids!
Jonathan has always been a builder, dating back to his time as a very young adult. After obtaining his Master’s degree from the University of Norther Colorado and spending several years in the construction industry, Jonathan took a position with Young Life and moved to Costa Rica to take on the project management for a camp property Young Life was developing on the Pacific coast. Upon moving to Denver in the early 2000’s, Jonathan worked for a reputable GC for several years focused on residential remodel work before starting D Enterprise LLC. Jonathan’s hands on experience in the field and deep understanding and commitment to craftsmanship has helped place his company on solid ground, being known for providing exceptional quality and great attention to detail.
Jonathan grew up in rural Maryland and went on to play soccer for Messiah College, graduating in 1994. Having a passion for athletics and a desire to learn more about the science behind the performance of elite athletes, he went on to get his masters in Exercise Science. Not too long after graduating, he found himself living in Costa Rica, learning a new language and eventually met the love of his life. Whitney, who was also living in Costa Rica at the time shared a love of soccer, which continues to be a common thread in their family. Jonathan and Whitney now spend most of their free time keeping up with three very active kids, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with close friends and family. Both are avid readers, share a passion for running and are active in multiple community groups.
